Biography

Smokin' Joe Kubek played and lived the blues for more than 40 years, before his untimely passing in 2015, at age 58. He shared the stage with the likes of Stevie Ray Vaughan and the "Three Kings" - B.B., Freddie, and Albert - and his nonstop touring and recording made Kubek a world-renowned blues force to be reckoned with. Kobe recorded 14 blues albums, including several releases with Alligator Records, leaving an impressive legacy of soulful, old-school-meets-contemporary, smokin' blues guitar.
